House log - Application for Sewage Connection

Sewage and residual waters is a kind of monopoly for my Commune. The process goes like this:

1. You apply for Sewage connection. My Commune has a form you fill up and submit. Once you do, you sort of need to pay 2000Eur + VAT.
2. You are appointed by the Commune a contractor that comes and decides how the sewage will look like and how much the connection will cost.
3. You meet with the Contractor and talk shop.

The first two steps are relatively simple.

I applied on 18/11 with the following message:

Chère Madame, Cher Monsieur,

Nous commençons bâtir notre maison a (address). Je vous prie trouver ci-joint notre demande de raccordement à l’égout public ainsi que le plan d'implantation.

Je vous remercie en avance pour tout et je reste à votre disposition pour tout renseignement utile.

I got a reply directly from a contractor two days later, in Flemish (of course!):

Geachte,

Uw aanvraagformulier werd goed ontvangen.

Graag maak ik met u een afspraak ter plaatse woensdag 27 november in de namiddag, omstreeks 11u45.

Graag een seintje of dit past voor u.
