Bulk Change the Date on Photos

Posted by in Random, Tutorial

I’ve got a new camera and I forgot to update the date. Consequently, the first photos are taken on 01/01/2017 instead of 04/03/2018. Given that more than 100 photos were taken, it would be a pain to change them one by one. So, here are the steps I did update the date: Download exiv2. Just search for exiv2-0.26-msvc.tar.gz (0.26 was the most recent at the moment of writing). Open it and extract the relevant folder (\dist\2015\x64\dll\Release in my case) in a convenient place (e.g. C:\EXIV\) Open a command prompt to…read more

French – Short Essay – What’s in it for you?

Posted by in Random

The other day I had to write a short essay on What do you think you’ll get from this course?

Belgium Customs and DHL – A History of Legal Thieving

Posted by in Random

The other day I ordered an item from Hong Kong, to be delivered with DHL, because DHL would be quicker. So the total cost was: The item: 30.40 USD The shipping: 33.80 USD Grand total: 64.20 USD The amount of taxes I had to pay for the package was… wait for it… approx 26 EUR! My first reaction was: What In Earth Is Happening? Same as my second and third reaction. Then I calmed myself down and tried to find out an explanation. Wasn’t easy: Ring DHL Customer Service. Explain…read more

Wooden language – part 1

Posted by in Random

The other day I’ve stumbled over this gem: I think this article represents a paradigm shift in a dynamic marketplace. As a whole, I see where the author is coming from, but I don’t really agree with his findings. I’m trying to think of a proper disruptive rebuttal that will add value and create positive dialogue, but I lack the strategic vision to create a mutually beneficial, intrinsically juxtaposed, equal opportunity partnership while still remaining granular enough to maintain a thought pattern that doesn’t exceed a typical 10,000 ft. view…read more
